Description
Yercaud is a hill station located in the Shevaroy Hills of the Eastern Ghats in Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated at an altitude of 1515 mts above sea level and is known as the “Jewel of the South”. The town is known for its picturesque hills, lush green valleys, and serene lake. Yercaud is a popular destination for trekking and other outdoor activities. It is also home to a variety of flora and fauna, including rare species of birds. Yercaud is also home to many temples and monuments, including the Shevaroy Temple, Lady’s Seat, and Big Lake. The town is also known for its coffee and orange plantations, which are abundant in the surrounding areas.
